The NC7WZ240 is a dual inverting buffer with independent active-low enables supporting 3-state outputs. Fabricated on an advanced CMOS process, this ultra-high-speed device achieves excellent switching performance and high output drive while maintaining low static power consumption over a very wide VCC operating range. The device is specified for VCC operation from 1.65 to 5.5V. When VCC is 0V, the input and output are high impedance. The input is tolerant to 5.5V regardless of the VCC operating range. In 3-state condition, the output withstand voltage is higher than VCC.

The MM74HC540 and MM74HC541 3-state buffers are built on an advanced silicon-gate CMOS process. They feature high drive current outputs, enabling high-speed operation even when driving large bus capacitances. These circuits also achieve high speed compared to low-power Schottky devices, while retaining the advantages of CMOS circuits, namely high noise immunity and low power consumption. Both devices have a fanout equivalent to 15 LS-TTL inputs. The MM74HC540 is an inverting buffer and the MM74HC541 is a non-inverting buffer. This 3-state control gate operates as a two-input NOR, so when either G1# or G2# is high, all eight outputs are in a high-impedance state. To enhance PC board layout, the MM74HC540 and MM74HC541 provide pin-outs with input and output on opposite sides of the encapsulation. Protect all inputs from electrostatic discharge damage by diode-connecting VCC and ground.
