The MM74HC240 3-state buffers utilize advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology. It has a high drive current output, enabling high speed operation even when driving large bus capacitances. These circuits are comparable in speed to low-power Schottky devices, while maintaining the advantages of CMOS circuits, such as high noise immunity and low power consumption.
