The VHC573 is an advanced high-speed CMOS octal latch with 3-state output, fabricated in a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the low power consumption of CMOS. This 8-bit D-type latch is controlled by a Latch Enable input (LE) and an Output Enable input (OE#). When the OE# input is high, the eight outputs are in a high impedance state. An input protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pins regardless of the supply voltage. This device can be used as an interface between a 5V system and a 3V system as well as two power systems, such as battery backup. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatched supply and input voltages.

The NLAS4053 is an improved version of the MC14053 and MC74HC4053, using a sub-micron silicon gate CMOS process with lower RDS(on) and improved linearity at low currents. The device can operate from a single supply or dual supplies up to +/- 3V and can pass 6 VPP signals without coupling capacitors. When operating in single-supply mode, only VEE, pin 7, needs to be connected to ground. For dual-supply operation, VEE is connected to a negative voltage in order not to exceed the maximum rating. Pin-to-pin compatible with all industry standard "4053" versions.
