The LCX244 contains eight independent non-inverting buffers with 3-state outputs. The device can be used as a memory address driver, clock driver, and bus-oriented transmitter/receiver. The LCX244 is suitable for low voltage (2.5V or 3.3V) VCC applications and is capable of interfacing to a 5V signal environment. The 74AC14 and 74ACT14 contain six inverter gates, each with a Schmitt trigger input. They are capable of converting slowly varying input signals into clearly defined, jitter-free output signals.
