The MC74LVX4051 uses a silicon-gate CMOS process to achieve fast propagation delay, low on-resistance, and low leakage current. This analog multiplexer/demultiplexer controls analog voltages that vary over the full supply range from VCC to VEE. The LVX4051 has similar pinouts to the LVX8051, HC4051A and metal gate MC14051B. The channel select input determines which analog input/output is connected to the common output/input via an analog switch. When the enable pin is high, all analog switches are off. Channel select and enable inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs. These inputs are overvoltage tolerant (OVT) for level translation from 6.0 V up to 3.0 V. The device is designed so that the on-resistance (Ron) with respect to input voltage is more linear than the Ron of metal-gate CMOS analog switches and high-speed CMOS analog switches.
