The VHC04 is an advanced high-speed CMOS inverter fabricated in a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS low power consumption. This internal circuit consists of three stages, including buffered outputs that provide high noise immunity and stable output. An input protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pins regardless of the supply voltage. This device can be used to interface 5V systems with 3V systems and both power systems, such as battery backup. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatched supply and input voltages.
