Optocoupler/LED/nixie tube/photoelectric device

The FOD2743 opto-isolated amplifier consists of the popular KA431 precision programmed shunt reference and optocoupler. The optocoupler is a gallium arsenide (GaAs) light emitting diode optically coupled to a silicon phototransistor. It has 3 reference voltage tolerance levels: 2%, 1% and 0.5%. Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) ranges from 50% to 100%. It also has an excellent temperature coefficient of 50 ppm/°C. It is primarily used as an error amplifier/reference voltage/optocoupler function in isolated AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters. When using the FOD2743, power supply designers can reduce component count and save space in compact encapsulation designs. The tight tolerances eliminate the need for adjustment in many applications. The device features an 8-pin DIP white encapsulation.

The HCPL05XX and HCPL04XX optocouplers consist of an AlGaAs LED optically coupled due to a high-speed photodetector transistor in a compact 8-pin small outline encapsulation. A separate connection for photodiode biasing reduces the base-collector capacitance of the input transistor and is orders of magnitude faster than conventional phototransistors. The HCPL04XX devices do not have a lead-bonded substrate for greater noise margin. The HCPL053X devices feature two channels per encapsulation for optimal packing density.

This general purpose optocoupler consists of a Gallium Arsenide infrared emitting diode driving a silicon phototransistor in a 6-pin dual column plug-inencapsulation.
