The NCV8518C device is a precision micropower voltage regulator. It has a fixed output voltage of 5.0 V and is regulated within ±2%. It is suitable for all automotive environments and contains all the functions required to control the microprocessor. The device features low drain voltage and low quiescent current. It includes watchdog timer, adjustable reset, wake up and enable functions. The device also includes safety features such as thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection. It can handle transients up to 45 V.
