The FSL306LR integrates a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller and SenseFET and is specifically designed for high performance offline Buck, Buck-Boost and Non-Discrete Flyback Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external parts count. The device integrates a high-voltage power supply regulator to allow operation without an auxiliary bias winding. An internal transconductance amplifier reduces external components for the flyback compensation circuit. The integrated PWM controller includes: 10-V regulator for implementation without external bias circuit, under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, leading-edge spacing (LEB), optimized gate on/off driver, EMI attenuator, high temperature shutdown Disconnect (TSD) protection for loop compensation temperature compensated precision current source, and fault protection circuits. Protections include: Overload Protection (OLP), Overvoltage Protection (OVP), Feedback Open Protection (FB_OLP), and Abnormal Overcurrent Protection (AOCP). The FSL306LRN provides excellent soft-start performance during start-up. An internal high voltage startup switch and Burst Mode operation with very low operating current reduce power loss in standby mode. Therefore, at an input voltage of 230 VAC, a power dissipation of 120 mW can be achieved without external bias and 25 mW with external bias.
