The Schottky diode uses the Schottky diode potential barrier principle and adopts a large-area metal-silicon power diode. Ideal for applications employing freewheeling and polarity protected diodes where compact size and weight are critical to the system. Due to its small size, it is suitable for cellular and cordless phones, chargers, notebook computers and printers. Typical applications are AC-DC and DC-DC converters, reverse battery protection and "OR" operation of multiple supply voltages, and any other application where performance and size are critical.
